PUMA V8300
BASE CASTING
Made from fine grain meehanite casting with solid box way design, and offers maximum rigidity under extreme load. Dampens vibration, has long-term accuracy. Right and left spindle versions available.
SPINDLE
The 2,000 r/min spindle is powered by a 50hp motor and has 1,912 ft-lbs of torque for heavy duty turning. Two speed gearbox construction reaches full horsepower at 128 r/min. Chuck size range is 15” - 28".
WORK ENVELOPE
The PUMA V8300 has a cutting area of ø32.6" x 30.7", and its maximum allowable part weight is just shy of one ton, at 1,918 lbs.
TURRET
The PUMA V8300’s 12-tool capacity, high torque, bi-directional, servo-driven turret has a fast index time of 0.25 seconds. The V8300M model offers milling capability with the BMT75 turret, with rotary tools milling at 4,000 r/min.
AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER
The PUMA V8300 series offers an optional, 12-station automatic tool-changer capable of storing tools with a max diameter of 3.54" and a maximum tool length of 14.7". Ideal for jobs that require longer tools that would typically mess with your workpiece.
