Sneak Preview of the Doosan IMTS Booth
IMTS 2018 is right around the corner, and we are PUMPED. We can’t wait to get to Chicago to show you what’s new at Doosan. Machine Greatness will be on full display at McCormick Place from September 10 to 15, so stop by and check out the 17 difference-making Doosan machines in one place. You’ll find our two-story booth in the South Hall, #339100.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about our customers over the years, it’s that they all have unique machining applications that require specific machines. The diversity of the 17 machines we’re bringing to IMTS reflects that wide range of customer demands as well as our resolve to give them exactly what they need to crush the project and elevate their business and reputation.

5-AXIS APPLICATIONS
DVF 5000/8000: The DVF Series of compact 5-axis machining centers takes its place in the company’s lineup of vertical machining centers specifically designed for cutting diverse and complex shapes. Also on display:the DHF 8000.
NHP HIGH PRODUCTIVITY HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTERS
NHP 4000 w/Linear Pallet System: Doosan's compact, high speed horizontal machining center with 400 mm pallets retrofitted with a linear pallet system. It minimizes setup times by having fixtures and raw materials ready to run. Great for lights out operations. In addition: the NHP 6300 (with cryogenic machining by 5ME).
ADVANCED TURNING APPLICATIONS
PUMA SMX2600ST: A multi-tasking turn-mill machine with 9 axes that easily outputs complex parts with one setup. It comes complete with a 12,000 rpm B-axis milling spindle and 12-station lower turret. Plus: the PUMA TT2100SYY and the Lynx 2100LYA and PUMA TW2100M – both w/Gantry Loader.
VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
DNM 4000: The compact DNM 4000 was designed with lean cells in mind – applications where machines are just inches apart, but productivity and cutting performance are still essential. Together with: the DMP 500 2SP.
The Extras
But hey, IMTS is never just about the business. Besides an unbeatable lineup of machine tools, here are some other things you’ll find in our booth throughout the week.
1. For you NASCAR fans, we have a special treat. Along with those 17 difference-making machines, we will have Erik Jones’ Camry from Joe Gibbs Racing on display in our booth. We were thrilled to be the primary sponsor for the #20 car at Michigan International Speedway on 8/12/18, and the car will be at our booth (in its full Doosan Machine Tools uniform) during IMTS. Fun fact: We’ve been a longstanding partner of Joe Gibbs Racing, and you’ll find 29 Doosan machines supporting operations in the team’s manufacturing complex in Huntersville, North Carolina.
2. As a special thank you to IMTS buyers, the first 25 people to place a Doosan machine order at the show will receive a custom toolbox hand-crafted by Gerstner & Sons. These showpieces will feature fine wood finishes and custom Doosan-colored felt liners. It’s one of the best extras we’ve ever attached to a machine sale.
3. Finally, it might be a good call to make Booth 339100 your first stop because we have the answer to that eternal IMTS question, “Where should we eat?” We put together 20 of our favorite Chicago spots for a bite, a full meal or just a drink or two. In addition to this eminently useful information, the map also features a preview of some of the machines we’ll have on display at the booth. We have a few hundred maps to hand out at the show, so come early and snag one before they’re gone.
